Affordable Networking Solutions, Inc. "Affordanet.com", was founded in 1997 in Houston Texas, by JD Bryan. Now our president and CEO, JD began installing network components and setting up home offices for many small businesses in and around the Houston area and quickly realized the potential for expansion.

We acquired our domain name in 98 and with the help of some friends began traveling the US setting up network equipment. Over the next year affordanet was to grow into a well respected national company of dedicated network technicians. Affordanet knows networks!

In the course of our traveling we noticed that our customers were very interested in our equipment. We use only the Best SUN, IBM, and Cisco, equipment. It quickly became apparent that partnering with the Big Blue was a very good idea.

Affordanet became an IBM Business Partner in late 99 with the formation of JD's Used Thinkpads. Providing refurbished IBM equipment, parts, and accessories JD's Used Thinkpads quickly became one of the hottest Thinkpad sites on the internet. Together the sites were generating more traffic than our provider could handle.

In early 2000 Affordanet partnered with The Planet Internet Services in Dallas and began hosting our own sites, as well as many of our clients in one of The Planet's tier one datacenters. Affordanet was the first to offer full featured corporate web hosting for 10 bucks a month.

Today Affordanet hosts and maintains over 100 web sites and 75 local network configurations. We employ dozens of network specialist, graphics designers, and programmers.
